Comb Mushroom

(Hericium coralloides)

I have found this mushroom on dead Oak standing and laying. It seems to grow in cracks and crevasses of the wood. I have found it under the top layer of wood on a log, where it has cracked. I have eaten this mushroom sautéed in butter.
